Do you want to be part of the biggest
swim in the world and help end polio for ever?
Then sign up now for Elgin Rotary’s
Swimarathon on 21st February.
The aim! To raise sufficient funds to
end polio across the world by 2018. For every £1 raised by
Rotary worldwide, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
gives £5. You can make a difference.
Who can participate? It’s for
everyone: businesses, schools, swimming clubs, local
organisations, families, individuals. You can enter on your
own or as a team of up to 5 members.
Entry donation is £5 for under 12s,
per person, £10 if over…plus whatever sponsorship you can
raise. Sponsorship can be for every length swum or for
taking part. The minimum number of lengths you need to do is
6, but see if you can last the hour and let’s see how many
lengths can be achieved by all!
It’s in relay format, lanes related
to swimming competency. As each swimmer gets to a half
length the next goes in. You swim 2 lengths and then rejoin
your lane queue.
So, whether a good swimmer or not so
good, Swimarathon is fun and for you! Take part and help end
polio. Come along and make that difference.
